The Department of Family Medicine provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages and genders through all stages of life. We value creating long-term relationships with our patients and their families. We pride ourselves on, not just treating and preventing diseases, but taking care of people. We serve patients across San Diego with a large team of over forty physicians and over forty nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

  • Experts in Dermoscopy, our Family Medicine department was the first in the nation training and performing Dermoscopy in a primary care setting

  • We are a leader in Point of Care Ultrasound in a primary care setting, and initiated the development of a Course to Train Providers in POCUS within the Scripps system
