Department of Internal Medicine

The Department of Internal Medicine’s highly trained team of physicians and advanced practice clinicians care for adults and late teens, evaluating and managing a wide array of medical conditions. We provide consultative services for acute and chronic conditions utilizing a full spectrum of diagnostic tools, therapeutic modalities and specialty referrals. We are available to our patients for preventive services, wellness education and the management of complex multisystem illness. We provide preoperative medical consultations for patients with that need. With almost 100 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants at six Scripps Clinic Medical Group sites throughout San Diego County, the Department of Internal Medicine provides convenient access to primary care services. Our Division of Private Internal Medicine delivers “concierge” medical care services through our Carmel Valley and Torrey Pines offices.
