Department members provide regular teaching conferences in Hematopathology, Dermatopathology, Gastrointestinal Pathology, and Surgical Pathology for Fellows and for Podiatry Residents.

We also host a Pathologist Assistant student every year from Rosalind Franklin University.

Recent areas of research interest for department members have included: breast cancer staging methods, circulating tumor cell biology, lymphomagenesis, the diagnosis and treatment of hairy cell leukemia, metabolic pathways of prostate carcinogenesis, malignancies of lung, liver, and pancreas, soft tissue and joint pathology, vasculitides, and clinical applications of digital pathology for primary diagnosis. In addition, we support the Biorepository with tissue collection activities.
