Division of Cardiovascular Diseases:

Women’s Heart Center

Scripps Women’s Heart Center offers heart care specifically for women, by women. The program was co-founded by Drs Uddin, Adams and Kim, in 2017 as a clinic, and a referral center, based in the Prebys Cardiovascular Institute and Anderson Medical Pavilion. The center is dedicated to empowering women to take care of their cardiovascular health through education, lifestyle and, when needed, expert medical care. Our team of cardiologists are experts in general cardiology, as well as preventive medicine, and integrative & holistic medicine, and treat the entire spectrum of cardiovascular disease, in addition to the unique heart conditions specifically associated with women.

All of our physicians are currently seeing new patients, managing patients in the clinic as well as hospital setting, and carry multiple board certifications including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, internal medicine, advanced lipids , integrative medicine, in addition to general cardiology.

The women’s heart center provides patients with evaluations, support groups, lectures, free yoga classes, and community education through Health EXPOs and biometric screening. Our goal is to treat, educate and empower women with the tools needed not only to prevent and manage heart disease, but to improve overall quality of life.
