Division of General Obstetrics & Gynecology

The Division of Gynecology is proud to contribute to U.S. News and World Report’s designation of Scripps’ Gynecology as #1 in San Diego and a top twenty provider in the nation. Our experts offer wellness visits as well as diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of gynecological conditions and full-service conception to delivery obstetrical care. The Division assists female patients with maintaining gynecological health throughout their lives, supporting them in exploring fertility and reproductive options, obtaining contraception, treating bladder incontinence and other structural challenges, and managing menopause. Every year, we successfully conduct thousands of gynecological surgeries, including tubal ligations, hysterectomies, and surgeries for ovarian cysts, fibroids and endometriosis. We care for thousands of San Diego parents each year, taking a patient-centric approach, practicing evidence-based medicine in an environment of the utmost compassion. The Division is also actively involved in clinical research on a variety of topics exploring how the frontiers of science can improve the care of female patients.
